PTCMA HTA in Action online course
Terms & Conditions 2024

1. General Information
All online courses will be presented on an online Moodle Platform found at https://courses.ptcma.org.za/. These terms and conditions apply specifically to the three short courses under the HTA in Action category.
These courses will be available at the advertised dates (subject to change). Regular communication and reminders will be sent via emails (though participants take responsibility to review the online platform regularly for updates).
Some general things to take note of:
• You will need Internet Access in order to participate in this course.
• Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed in order to view some of the content. (Available for free download: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/)

2. Registration
a. Registration is required before being enrolled to the course.
b. Upon submission of the registration form an invoice will be sent to either the participant or the participant’s company, based on the requirements specified on the registration form.
c. Participants who would like to deregister will need to do so within one week of the start of the course. No refunds will be made or credit provided after this time.
d. Should a participant deregister after this time they will forfeit the registration fee and need to register anew.
e. NON-MEMEBERS: Individuals who register from a non-member company (including clinicians) will need to make the payment online via PayFast (credit card/instant EFT). An invoice will be shared and the participant will be enrolled once payment reflects on the PTCMA's statements.

3. Access
a. All participants will receive an email with login details within one week before the start of the course. This will include access to the active course registered for.
b. Payments will be required as soon as possible after receipt of the invoice. The participant will be responsible for following up on payment.
c. Access will only be granted once payment has been made.
d. Enrolment will be for the duration of the course. Participants can complete the course on their own pace, but within the allocated time.
e. Access to the course will be terminated once the course reaches its conclusion.

4. Assessments and requirements for successful completion
a. At enrolment of each course, a Study Guide with specific information will be sent to all registered participants.
b. Assessments:
Each course will have ONE assessment at the end of the course that will consist of a number of Multiple-Choice Questions. Participants will need to achieve a grade of 70% in order to pass the course.
d. Extensions and suspensions
i. An extension of one week will be granted if requested prior to the assignment due date.
ii. Should a participant find their workload does not permit them to work on the course, they may request to complete the course at one of the other dates advertised, but this needs to be done within the first week of the course.
